Mother of Two Becomes Homeowner in Cornelius via West Tuality Habitat!
A mother of two has moved into her new Habitat for Humanity home in Cornelius, Oregon, the first in West Tuality Habitat’s Rapid Homestead program. Leah entered the West Tuality Habitat home ownership program in 2022. Like all individuals and families accepted into the Habitat home ownership program, she performed sweat equity, working at the construction sites or in the Forest Grove ReStore, and also completed financial literacy training and homebuyer counseling. Read more about the home dedication & the family here.

Annual Holiday Concert set for December 7 in Forest Grove.
Our annual holiday concert, Saturday, December 7 at 3 p.m. at the Forest Grove United Church of Christ, 2032 College Way, in downtown Forest Grove. West Tuality Habitat for Humanity brings community members together annually to enjoy a free Holiday concert and, in addition to hearing beautiful music, attendees can walk out afterward & immediately be in a great location for Forest Grove's downtown Holiday Light Parade. This is a terrific opportunity to come together with your neighbors and enjoy seasonal music. No need to reserve - this is a free, just show up event (but note that last year, we had a full house!).
Volunteers train with drywall to prep for helping at Countryman Estates.
West Tuality Habitat for Humanity’s Habitat University event in early November, All About Drywall, was a success, with participants learning the ins and outs of cutting and placing drywall, a skill that will be oh-so-useful when these same folks turn out to volunteer with us at Countryman Estates, our latest construction site that will house eight families. Participants from Forest Grove, North Plains, Cornelius and Hillsboro got a taste of what volunteering on a Habitat for Humanity construction is like and met some of the Habitat staff and lead volunteers, as well as learned skills that not only can help Habitat families, but can also help them around their own homes. Read all about the event here.
